Today, June 20th, marks the 1 year anniversary of the launch of the microformats community. There’s a party planned and everything, but I’m on the wrong coast as usual so I’ll have to partake via IRC. More on the wiki.

I’ve added some basic tagging support to posts here in anticipation of a few bigger changes I’ve got planned. The upgrade came via installation of the tru_tags plugin for textpattern and a few other feed hacks. If something looks off somewhere, or if feeds aren’t working properly please post a comment.

Huge props to the Oilers for making it close, trying to press for a comeback both in the series and in the 3rd tonight, but the ‘Canes deserved the win in the end.

Its my new (again) hero Stephen Colbert interviewing the Congressman from the Georgia 8th District Lynn Westmoreland. He’s the man that co-sposored a bill to display the 10 Commandments in Congress, and when put on the spot by Stephen he can’t name more then 3 of them! As usual crooks and liars has the video. Its a must watch.

So take 5 minutes out of your day, regardless of your political leaning, and have a laugh (or maybe a good cry).
