Place Name Here has been an active personal web space since the domain was registered in 1998. Through the years it has housed various incarnations of my professional portfolio, personal projects and whatever other random stuff the day calls for. The latest redesign was launched on Jan 1st, 2007.
On the blogging end the current incarnation of this site, launched in late 2004, uses the blogging and content tool Textpattern with a few modifications, some of which are described here.
Other parts of the site are built at various times with different technologies including hand spun markup and the occasional shell or perl scripts to manage photo gallery generation and similar tasks.

To serve both my own curiosity and those of other Web Developers, I regularly post browser usage reports based on visitors to this site in the Place Name Here Zeitgeist. The reports are done in a AJAX before there was AJAX style and generated with some custom Perl scripts I wrote some time ago.
