I’ve just done my good deed for the day.
I’ve always had a thing against any kind of link prevention - be it “deep linking” into news stories or linking directly to images. While I’ve had many images take up fancy within message board communities or other online forums, its only the rare case that their use is intrusive on this site and thus I don’t normally step in and move or block links.
Which brings me to this morning. For quite some time a black and white photo of some flowers that I used deep in an old project has been making the rounds and common images or even backgrounds on the journals of “sad” people (melodramatic livejournal, xanga, myspace, etc. users). As I spin though my usage reports and click around these sites its quite depressing. So today I thought I’d brighten them all up by switching the desaturated version of the flower image with the full color version. Hope it makes a few smile.
