While I’ve never really liked any of the logos in Buffalo Sabres history the newly proposed (leaked?) logo for the 2006-07 season is just far too swooshy and generic—and far too close to identity of the Buffalo Bills.
I’m clearly not the only one who doesn’t think much of the work. Fix The Logo is a site set up by Sabres fans hoping to gather support and convince the powers that be not to go through with these particular graphics.
This new Sabres logo is a total dissapointment. You might as well start calling them the Buffalo Slugs. I am sorry, I will not be buying anything related to a slug. This is very sad. PLEASE CHANGE THIS LOGO PLEASE! GO SLUGS!!

Go back to the original blue and gold jersey and get rid of this corporate garbage. To not even include a sword or crossed swords is absolutely criminal. If this is the plan, don’t even bother coming out with a third jersey – the red one that they have now is better than this!!!
I think it is good, but i think they’d rather stay on blue and gold jersey. man, its so classic!, or, change the buffalo head (slug in to the blue colour! if they do that, no arguements!
The logo (mentioned as leaked in my original post) has been confirmed by the Bills.. um I mean Sabres.
Though it looks like this years 3rd jersey will be the old blue & gold and worn for 15 home games.
I’m writing again… anyway, i am so interested by the new 3rd jersey that chris mentioned. it somehow meant that buffalo sabres have a big responsibility for the fans, including myself, which is interesting (‘cause im living in toronto, buti dislike maple leafs…ã…œ.ã…œ)

I think they should take the logo on the red jersey and turn it blue and gold because that logo sucks
Even if it does look like a slug more than a buffalo, it is still a prtty cool logo. its simple and nice.

I don’t like the logo. It looks too cartoonish and is similiar to the Bills logo. How about a head view?
